SELECTIVIDAD: HOW TO ANSWER QUESTION NUMBER TWO

HOW TO ANSWER QUESTION NUMBER TWO
IN exercise NUMBER TWO (Selectividad in Extremadura) YOU WILL FIND TWO YES/NO OPEN QUESTIOnS. Read them both carefully and answer with your own words and those words should be based on the ideas in the text. Do not just copy the lines literally from the text: you will need to work on this. Maybe you can follow my tips:
- Try to use your own words, but use the text as a pretext. Use the vocabulary from the text trying to enlarge it by adding or removing adjectives or maybe using synonyms. - Try not to give more information than the one given in the text, otherwise you can make mistakes. - You can justify your yes/no answer and your own words with a direct quotation from the text. To avoid monotony, you should vary the signal phrases you use to integrate quotations from Selectividad texts, as in these examples:
In the words of the author: “The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good."
As the author has noted, “Looking down from the heights of Maslow's pyramid, it seems inconceivable to us that someone could actually prefer bread to freedom.”
As the text points out: “Mardi Gras came to North America from Paris, where it had been celebrated since the Middle Ages.”
The text points out that Mardi Gras came to North America from Paris.
The author claims that columnist Colbert I. King.
The text says...
The text states...
The text recognises...
According to the text, ...
If you look close at paragraph two, the text clearly establishes...
- Remember you will be marked according to your understanding of the question, acuracy of the answer, and correct grammar expression.
